“Betsy Q”
Concerts for Elementary Schools and Preschools
Elementary Schools:
For elementary schools, her shows are for kindergarten and go up to 5th grade. Most schools have one concert for K through 2nd, then another show for 3rd through 5th grades. If you have a small school, one show for the whole school would be great! Evening performances can be for students and their families. Parents love her too. It’s fun for the whole family!
She also invites the children, teachers and parents on stage at times during her show. If an evening performance is wanted, it is suggested that a daytime performance in the school setting should be followed by an evening show for the whole family. There is flexibility in deciding on that. Each show is about 50 minutes long.
Not only are the children having a great time, but they are also receiving an educational message. The objectives in language arts, social studies and science are incorporated in her songs and are connected to the Standards of Learning that the educators are required to teach. Betsy Q believes that music is a great resource for teaching children about the environment, self-esteem, science, the community, and patriotism.
For Preschools, Daycare Centers and Early Childhood Centers:
Betsy Q has thrilled audiences in preschools, daycare, and early childhood centers all over the state and beyond. She has performed concerts during the day for the children and she has performed for family nights at these centers as well. It’s a great time for the whole family!!
Her educational, interactive concerts keep everyone singing and doing motions with the songs. She also invites children onto the stage with her sometimes and even invites teachers and/or parents to join her too!! The children love that. Even 2 year olds can pick it up easily, as her music has easy melodies and some repetition that a child finds easy to grasp. Not only is it educational, but fun too! Her music has been noted to be a favorite for children of all ages and the parents love it too. Preschools have been using the music as an educational tool and the teachers use the cd’s in the classroom. Betsy Q believes that music is a great resource for teaching children about the environment, self-esteem, science, the community, and patriotism.
For Christian Preschools: I will be happy to include some of my new Christian songs for children and families in the concert.
With 5 cd’s out, her music has been recommended by the American Library Association and has been a suggested resource for teachers in Virginia.
